Countries Information
A country is a large area of land that is controlled by its own government. It may be an independent sovereign state, or a non-sovereign political division, and features distinct boundaries on a map, as well as unique people and political characteristics. There are officially 196 countries in the world, with Russia being the largest country by area, and Vatican City the smallest.
