A company is defined as "a commercial business" or "an association or collection of individuals". Companies often have a specific vision and operate in order to achieve set forth goals. A business is the most common type of company, but the term also includes voluntary and nonprofit associations. In the United States, the most common types of commercial companies include sole proprietorship, general partnership and LLC, or limited liability company.
