New Jersey Information
Early New Jersey inhabitants included the Delaware Indians, the Dutch, and then the English. New Jersey became a state in 1787. The southern part of the state has remained largely agricultural, while industry has claimed areas of the northern section. New Jersey beaches along the Atlantic are a triving tourist destination each year.
