Georgia Information
Cherokees, Creeks, and other native people were the original inhabitants of Georgia. The Spanish explorers arrived in the mid-1500s and it wasn't until 1788 that Georgia became the 4th state. Since the Civil War, a regional banking center has emerged in Atlanta, and a major container port has been developed in avannah. Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta is one of the busiest airports in the country.
